In a significant milestone, all 28 state-level ORCAs are now partnering with crime intelligence platform Auror in an effort to outpace rising Organized Retail Crime (ORC) across the US.

With this nationwide movement, law enforcement agencies and loss prevention professionals can more effectively investigate criminal activities that span multiple jurisdictions. Auror’s research indicates an upward trend in repeat offenders and ORC, with 10% of offenders causing 93% of loss among retailers in the United States.

Auror Senior Director of Law Enforcement Partnerships, Raul Aguilar, says this new level of collaboration and responsible data-sharing is a game-changer for the industry, advancing their ability to securely focus on top offenders across state lines:

“By pooling together resources and intelligence on one platform, ORCAs all over the country can now provide a comprehensive view of criminal behavior across state lines. This nationwide approach enables law enforcement and retail partners to take swift, coordinated action against ORC syndicates.”

Chair of Organized Retail Crime Association of Idaho Ed Fritz says:

“We, the members of ORCAID, have always been united to combat theft, fraud, and ORC. Our definition of "we" has now changed to include every ORCA signed on. The ability to collaborate with other ORCAs inside the Auror platform is a game changer.”
